Celebrating 6 Years Antibiotic Free!










Over half the antibiotics used in the UK, are used in agriculture to treat animals whose products enter the food chain.

6 years ago Gazegill decided to stop using antibiotics all together, instead allowing our herd to naturally build up their immunity and self-medicate on our herb rich pastures.  This immunity has passed on to the next generation and the next generation whose immune systems have naturally grown even stronger.


In the dairy industry most antibiotics are used to treat mastitis meaning that the cow can go back into milk production after 3 or 4 days.  Gazegill would treat mastitis by separating the cow from the milk production line, but keeping the cow’s milk regularly flowing (but then dumping their milk which can be clotted).

The cow would be back to normal within 2 or 3 weeks and be allowed to re-enter the regular milk line.  Obviously this is less profitable! We strongly believe that our cows are happier and healthier and we can 100% guarantee that when you drink our organic raw milk, that you are not consuming antibiotics.

Organic systems do not allow GMOs, pesticides or herbicides but do allow antibiotics.  Gazegill is the only milk line that we know of that is completely antibiotic free – something that we are very proud of!
